Not Your Average Nail Class

This class was built to give students a more intentional and effective learning experience. Instead of being placed in an overcrowded room, you will learn in a small group setting where questions, corrections, and hands-on support are part of the process. Students will work with provided products during class, practice in real time, and receive direct guidance throughout the session. This class is ideal for nail techs who want structure, support, and a learning environment designed to help things actually click.

What Students Will Learn

A complete, structured approach to acrylic application focused on clarity, control, and consistency. So you understand what you’re doing, not just follow steps.

You’ll learn how to properly control your acrylic ratio, place product with intention, and use your brush with precision. We’ll focus on application in zones, shaping for clean, balanced results, and refining the nail before moving into design.

You’ll also learn how to recognize and correct common mistakes, improve your retention, and build consistency so your sets look clean, structured, and repeatable every time.

A clear understanding of acrylic ratio so you can control your bead, placement, and overall application.

Hour 1

Introduction, Setup, and Nail Prep

Every strong set of nails starts before acrylic ever touches the nail. We begin by organizing your workspace and materials so you can work efficiently and professionally. From there, we break down the most overlooked part of nail services: prep. Many nail techs struggle with lifting and retention without realizing the problem actually begins during preparation. In this section, you’ll learn how to properly prepare the natural nail, understand the role of cuticle work and surface refinement, and build the foundation required for long-lasting acrylic sets. Mastering prep alone can drastically improve the longevity and quality of your work.

Hour 2

Tip Sizing, Structure, and Application

Once the foundation is correct, we move into proper tip sizing and application. This stage determines the structure of the entire set and is often where mistakes begin that later affect shaping, balance, and durability. Students will learn how to correctly size tips, apply them with precision, and control adhesive placement so the nail sits properly from the start. When tips are applied correctly, shaping becomes easier, structure becomes stronger, and the overall set looks more professional.

Hour 3

Acrylic Ratio and Product Chemistry

This is one of the most important sections of the entire class. Many nail techs struggle with acrylic not because they lack talent, but because they do not fully understand the chemistry of the product they are using. In this section we take a deep dive into acrylic ratio and bead control. You will learn how to control liquid to powder balance, recognize proper bead consistency, and understand how environment, temperature, and brush technique influence product behavior. Once you truly understand acrylic chemistry, your application becomes more controlled, predictable, and efficient.

Hour 4

Acrylic Application and Zone Control

After mastering ratio, we move into structured acrylic application. This is where students begin applying product with intention rather than guesswork. You will learn how to control your brush, apply the correct pressure, and guide the product into proper zones to create balance and structure. This section focuses heavily on technique and problem solving so you can identify mistakes in real time and correct them before they affect the finished set.

Hour 5

Shaping, Finishing, and Industry Insight

The final hour focuses on refining your work and preparing you for the professional side of the industry. Students will learn how to shape efficiently, refine structure, and create clean finished results through proper filing and finishing techniques. Beyond technique, we also discuss how to navigate the nail industry as a professional. Topics include branding, building visibility through content creation, and maintaining the mindset required to grow in a demanding but rewarding career.

Hands-On Practice and Feedback

I work closely with each student to correct technique, answer questions, and help identify areas that need improvement. The goal is not just to watch and learn, but to leave with a clearer understanding of acrylic application, stronger control of your products, and the confidence to continue practicing and improving after the class. By the end of the training, students should walk away with practical knowledge they can immediately apply behind the nail desk, along with a deeper understanding of the process that leads to consistent, professional results.

Educational Partnership Experience

This partnership is designed to bring additional education directly to students while traveling outside of San Antonio.

In exchange for hosting, schools receive a free 2-hour dedicated learning session focused on acrylic ratio. This gives students access to hands-on training, real techniques, and industry insight beyond their standard curriculum.

This creates an opportunity to connect students to real-world application, helping bridge the gap between school and working in the industry.

Students also play a key role by helping connect their schools, creating opportunities not just for themselves, but for their peers as well.

Whether your school is already hosting or we are still securing a location, students who help connect and secure a school partnership will receive free access to both the public paid class and the private student session hosted at their school. To qualify, the student must reach out directly first before their instructor or school contacts me.
